The ingredients needed to make Sunday Pilau:

  1. Take 2 tbsp of oil or butter or ghee.

  14. Provide of i medium onion chopped.
  15. Provide 3 of tomatoes chopped or blended.
  16. Take 25 g of tomato paste.
  17. You need 1 of brinjal cut into pieces.
  18. Take 1 cup of frozen sweet corn.
  19. Prepare 3 of medium potatoes cut into large cubes.
  20. Get of chopped coriander.
  21. Get of chopped mint.
  22. Prepare 4 tbsp of plain yoghurt.
  23. Use 300 g of carrots.
  24. You need 1 of and 1/2 cups basmati rice (rinsed).
  25. Prepare 300 g of baby carrots.
  26. Take 1/2 kg of beef or mutton mince.

Instructions to make Sunday Pilau:

  1. Melt butter in the pot. add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, cloves, ground coriander,salt,black pepper,turmeric,leaf masala and curry leaves. allow the heat to release the flavours of the spices.
  2. Add the masala to the spices in the pot.
  3. While stirring throw in all your veggies, tomato paste and yoghurt.

  6. Stir in the uncooked rice.
  7. Add mince and 1 cup water. stir well..
  8. Let it cook on a high heat for about 20 mins until the rice becomes fluffy.
  9. Stir occasionally to prevent the rice from sticking to the pot..
  10. Once the rice swells, turn down the heat to lowest. keep the lid closed. Allow the food to steam together for +- 30 mins. until the potatoes are soft. you can add another 1/4 cup water if u find your rice or potatoes uncooked..
  11. While you are waiting for this, prepare yoghurt with chopped fresh coriander, mint and salt to taste..
